Relearning how to make friends

My kids often complain about not having any friends to play with it.   The solution seems self-evident to me; “Why don’t your call your friends or walk down to their house and ask them if they would like to play,”  I  reply. 
 
Sometime it’s that easy.   As adults, we get it in our head that it’s harder to make friends now that we are older.  As grown-ups, we get stuck in a rut and forget how to do simple things like reaching out to someone new.   Thankfully, our brains have the ability to  change even as we age, affecting our habits and behaviors.  Check out this article on how to make friends.  Challenge your mental obstacles regarding relationships and move toward any action that can help break the cycle of isolation pervasive in our society.
