Stained Glass Cross Craft

Square photo of a stained glass cross craft hanging in a window
Borrowed from: https://iheartcraftythings.com/stained-glass-cross-craft.html
Supplies:

Directions:

Step 1: Download and print out our free printable cross template. Cut out the template and then use a pencil to trace it onto a piece of black construction paper or cardstock paper.

Step 2:
After cutting out the black paper cross, fold it in half. Then use your pencil to draw and outline the cross shape about 1/2-inch inside the outside edge of the cross.

Step 3: Cut out the inside section of your cross along the pencil line you drew to make your window for your stained glass.

Step 4: Roll out a section of clear contact paper and cut out two rectangle sections that will completely cover the stained glass craft. Remove the backing from one piece of contact paper and place it sticky side up on your table. Then place your black cross window onto the sticky contact paper.

Press down gently with your fingers around the perimeter of the cross to ensure it is secure on the contact paper.

Step 5: Grab a small handful of your colorful tissue paper confetti and sprinkle it on the inside of the cross on the sticky contact paper. Continue adding the tissue paper around the cross, covering the inside of it completely. Press down on the confetti with your hands on the cross to help it stick to the contact paper.

Step 6: Remove the backing from your second piece of contact paper and place it sticky side down on top of the first piece of contact paper. Use your hands to press the two pieces of contact paper together tightly to help secure them together.

tep 7: Use scissors to carefully cut out around the edge of the cross.

Faithfulness Necklace Craft

A Faithfulness Necklace is a simple hands on way to teach kids about God's faithfulness and have them count the ways that He has been faithful in their life.

Supplies:
-string
-beads, fruit cereal (whatever you have!)

Directions:
  1. Read Proverbs 3:3 together. “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.”
  2. Invite your kids to make a necklace of faithfulness with you. With each bead that is strung you can talk about a time that God has been faithful to your family. This is also a great time to talk about what faithfulness is, examples of God’s faithfulness in the Bible, and why it’s so important to be faithful in our relationship with God and other people.
